Dicken Schrader (born December 4, 1973) is a Colombian video artist, whose works include being a commercial director, writer, and creative director. He is most noted for his YouTube viral videos featuring himself and his two children, Milah and Korben, performing cover versions of Depeche Mode songs using an old keyboard and various musical toy instruments and household items.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] As of January, 2012, the band has covered three Depeche Mode songs: Shake the Disease, Strangelove and Everything Counts.

Life and career

Schrader was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He is the son of María Eugenia Forero and Christian Schrader, Dean of the School of Advertising at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University.[9] He has two children, Milah, born in Miami Beach, Florida, in 2003, and Korben, born in Brooklyn, New York, in 2006.[10]

Schrader's career began in 1996, when he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Florida International University in Miami and began working at MTV Latin America as a writer/producer. [citation needed] After working in the On-air promotions department of several cable channels airing in Latin America he moved to New York City to work as a Commercial Director and Creative Director for Vh1.[11] Schrader moved back to Colombia in 2009, where he currently resides with his family and owns a production company.[12]
