Karl,

The [[Jason Puracal]] entry never states that Jason is innocent, as the appeal has yet to be heard in his case. The only statement of innocence is from third party experts, all of whom have been noted in various media outlets.

Please provide me specific examples with "neutrality" issues on the case, and I can work with editors to help improve the entry.

New America NYC

Hello, Karl. Six days ago you tagged New America NYC for speedy deletion under criteria A7 (no indication of significance) and G11 (promotion). I agreed with you, and deleted the article. The author has now rewritten the article. In my opinion the rewrite is a considerable improvement, and I would decline any speedy deletion request. However, it seems to me to be a courtesy to let you know, in case you want to take the article to AfD. (PROD would be probably be a waste of time. It would virtually certainly be contested.) My opinion, for what it is worth, is that at present the article does not establish notability, but it may well be that the subject actually is notable. I have given the author advice on improving the references, and if you do want to try PROD or AfD I suggest waiting a few days to give her a chance to do so. Confronting her with yet another deletion notice so soon would be rather biting a new editor. (Of course, that is just my view, and you are free to agree or disagree.) JamesBWatson (talk) 09:34, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take a look at it in a couple of days. Karl 334 TALK to ME 14:28, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rogue Spear

1. Why are you not allowing me to correct bad information on the page such as the ladder information. 2. Why is adding a link to www.voobly.com blacklisted when clearly on the page there is a link to MSN Zone and Gamespy Arcade? — Preceding unsigned comment added by VGL Vigilant (talkcontribs) 23:15, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The information you added to the page constituted advertising for your site. You obviously have a conflict of interest as per your username. Karl 334 TALK to ME 18:09, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So basically what you are telling me is that because I happen to own said domain that I am trying to add to make the wiki page more factual you wont allow it? And you did not answer my second question. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by VGL Vigilant (talkcontribs) 20:23, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your not making the page more factual, you are plugging your domain. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for your advertising. Also per WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS i am not going to answer your 2nd question. Karl 334 TALK to ME 21:27, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Noelia

Vicious comments like "Noelia" had a analsex tape is completely wrong ,is not only diminish with malice, she in did had a sex tape scandal with all sexual activity not the way that is written . — Preceding unsigned comment added by Latinmusicguru (talkcontribs) 20:53, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That change is fine, but your other changes removed the entire section which goes against Wikipedia Policies. Karl 334 TALK to ME 20:57, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jim Cousins

Hi Karl,

You reverted an edit I made to the article on Jim Cousins saying I had not provided reliable sources. I just wanted to say that what I wrote in my edit was personal information, ie based on a number of conversations I had with Jim over the years when he was a Member of Parliament for Newcastle Central and I worked for a local newspaper in that area.

If you don't want this kind of information on the site then fair enough. But please don't think that I am the kind of user who goes into people's entries and makes up information about them, because I am not. I have contributed to many articles in the past as a guest user, including, ironically, the one on Jim Cousins!

Best Regards,

Hughenden (talk) 17:49, 8 February 2012 (UTC)Hughenden[reply]

That's fine, it was a good faith edit. Unfortunately personal conversations are not covered under reliable sources, so it will remain reverted until a source can be found that provides that information. Karl 334 TALK to ME 17:52, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination

Please try to be a bit more careful before nominating articles for speedy deletion. You just nominated for deletion as an A7 a brief biographical stub on an actor who's currently starring in a network TV series on BBC Three and a play at the Royal National Theatre (one performance of which is due for a worldwide theatrical exhibition tomorrow), both of which qualify as an indication of "why its subject is important or significant". You did this in spite of the fact that the article in question was the creator's first (and thus far, only) contribution to Wikipedia, and in spite of the fact that it had been created less than fifteen minutes before your deletion nomination. That's a violation of WP:BITE. I know that new page patrolling can be difficult and stressful, but please try to be more careful in the future. -Hit bull, win steak(Moo!) 18:10, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello I would like to receive advise to publish the deleted article, JMMAESTRE (talk) 21:55, 8 February 2012 (UTC)Jose[reply]

Please read "My First Article", and the notability guideline for businesses. These links will help you decide if your business is notable and how to write a proper article about it. Karl 334 TALK to ME 22:00, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited the page deleting all content that I think could be interpreted as a promotion of the Center and referred it to a historical perspective. Hope is acceptable now. If not, please would appreciate suggestions. Jose — Preceding unsigned comment added by JMMAESTRE (talkcontribs) 02:23, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My page has been deleted

Hello, my page has just been speedily deleted because I am "too closely related to the topic". I am trying to create a page for my band, so yes I am closely related to the topic, but only have intentions of adding true and verifiable facts. Please reconsider the deletion. Thank you! MattQuitter (talk) 23:05, 8 February 2012 (UTC)MattQuitter[reply]

Your band is not notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. Please read WP:BAND. Karl 334 TALK to ME 23:06, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My band meets certain criteria listed. For my page NOT to be deleted, do I need to resubmit everything but also add the references needed before I save? MattQuitter (talk) 23:11, 8 February 2012 (UTC)MattQuitter[reply]

What part of the criteria does your band meet? You also need reliable sources to back up your bands notability. Also its best to have the article completed to a point where it won't be deleted. ie. If the version posted doesn't meet the notablilty guidelines then it will be deleted. You can also ask to have the page userfied so you can work on it until its ready. help with publishing

Good day, I am new so I think I got a bit confused on the rules here. I guess I did at least one thing wrong by registering under a name that could be considered a group so I have registered under a new username which should not be. However I am still confused on the two entries I began. I started them both and the internet crashed and when I returned they were speedily deleted. The first was the page Battlespace Anthology Volume 1. This is a new hardcover, paperback and ebook coming out in 2012. There are numerous other anthologies listed in Wikipedia so I thought for sure this would be an approved entry. Additionally, this is a book created by veterans, dedicated to taking care of veterans and opening doors for new writers. The only thing that would indicate marketing was that the charity the proceeds go to had a URL. Seeing as numerous Wikipedia entries have similar links or even links to personally owned websites I don't see how that could have been the reason. The second entry was The Science Fiction Show (yes I am affiliated who better to write about it). Perhaps someone does not feel it is notable enough, but I am sure the 10,000 people who downloaded the show in the last six months would disagree. Wikipedia has pages for numerous television shows and other forms of entertainment including other podcast. Specific examples of notability in these cases would be useful. Both are mentioned in numerous genre websites and have been mentioned by significant science fiction contributors including science fiction authors. Please provide me with the best options and the way to go about getting these pages published. Do I recreate, or does someone unblock them? This may all be a problem with the fact that I lost internet connectivity and only the initial version was saved, but since I can no longer access the pages to complete them I do not have all the information in front of me. Thanks for you time. KRichH (talk) 08:22, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have left a welcome message on your talk page. It has multiple links on Wikipedia policies. Also please read WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS as it explains just because there is one thing on the site doesn't mean that yours can stay. Also read the sections on notability so you can know what we at Wikipedia consider notable for inclusion. You can also ask to have the pages you created userfied by asking the deleting administrator on their talk page.

((Deletion log); 19:32 . . Metropolitan90 deleted "The Science Fiction Show" (A7: Article about an eligible subject, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject) (Deletion log); 19:30 . . Thanks I'll have to contact each of them. I think they probably deleted the 1st save which was when I started having problems with my connectivity. KRichH (talk) 15:16, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Make sure you read all the links I provided you, for if those pages appear again without the required information, they will be deleted again. Karl 334 TALK to ME 15:19, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Newland Musical

Hi, I wondered why you deleted the link to the musicals main page. Surely this is clarification that the musical exists?

Also surely a show that is appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe this year means that it isn't a small town musical? How else can I make the article more factual? — Preceding unsigned comment added by TomTowers (talkcontribs) 21:44, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Existence is not enough, please read notability guidelines regarding this. Also, in regards to your username, you have a conflict of interest on this subject. Also raw facebook links are not allowed in the article space. They can be placed in a external links section. Karl 334 TALK to ME 21:48, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So because I have a conflict of interest, that means that this page will be deleted? Because there is now proof on the wiki page that proves the show is real and has been performed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TomTowers (talkcontribs) 22:13, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Again, just because the musical has been performed and exists is not enough for inclusion on Wikipedia, please read the links I've provided you. Just because you have a conflict of interest doesn't mean you can't edit the page or create the page. I just mentioned that so you could read the Wikipedia guidelines on editing with a conflict of interest. Karl 334 TALK to ME 22:16, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the Welcome messaqge

Hi Karl, Thank you for the Welcome message, I'm new to Wikipedia and enjoying it so far. Hope you don't mind I adopt you as my mentor? I only have one question at this moment, there must be a way of introducing references that is not as awkward as doing it manually, right? Thank you --DataHead2112 (talk) 18:28, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I can help you as much as I can, if I cannot answer a question I will direct you to where it can be answered. As for your question about references, I use ProveIt to add references. It can be activated under the 'My Preferences' tab under gadgets. Click the link to ProveIt to get an explanation on how to use it. Karl 334 TALK to ME 18:32, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

ProveIt works great. Thank you again Karl --DataHead2112 (talk) 16:36, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tim Tebow

Saw you reverted an edit because the source is a blog. The blog was from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter and per WP:NEWSBLOG if a blog is written by a professional or known expert, a blog is an acceptable source and Schefter is the best NFL insider out there so he definitely falls in that category. A little late I know just an fyi.--Rockchalk717 (talk) 17:32, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The source when I deleted it here was from Twitter, which is not generally used as a reliable source I see that it has been changed to ESPN now, which is acceptable. I know Schefter is an expert. If the origional editor used the ESPN url instead of the twitter account, I would have left it. Karl 334 Talk 17:36, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Social network sites has the same rules as blogs. I used one for Chad Ochcinco's cameo appearance in the movie American Wedding and it's still in the article. I've seen admins use them as sources even, though it is probably best used on a short term basis until if and when a more reliable source is available..--Rockchalk717 (talk) 19:29, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like the deal might fall through anyway, he might be going to my Rams!!! Karl 334 Talk 20:17, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Duncan Keith has been suspended before?

Brendan Shanahan said himself in his suspension video (which is linked in the footnote of the paragraph you deleted) that Keith has not been suspended before, and that's part of the reason why he only got five games. He had been fined $1000, but that's it. It is common practice across Wikipedia to cover incidents that result in suspensions. Thanks. Vranak (talk) 13:46, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
