WZGM (1350 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Southern gospel format. Licensed to Black Mountain, North Carolina, USA. The station is currently owned by HRN Broadcasting, Inc.

Call letters used by this station have included WBMS and WAVJ [1]. WWRN was the first sports talk station in Asheville. [2] WZNN was known as "Super Talk 1350" after a daytime signal boost to 10,000 watts in 2004, airing Neal Boortz, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Michael Reagan, Mike Gallagher and Laura Ingraham. [3] The station switched to sports early in 2006 [4] and to oldies in 2007. The switch to Southern Gospel format came late in 2008.

As of March 19, 2012 WZGM is being operated under a lease contract by News Talk 50, Inc., owned by Matt Mittan and Agnes Cheek. The transitional programming at this time is: News Hour 11:00am-12:00pm, Dennis Miller (syndicated) 12:00pm-3:00pm, Take A Stand (Mittan and Cheek's own program which originates at WZGM and is syndicated across the state of NC) airs 3:00pm-6:00pm, Jason Lewis (syndicated) 6:00pm-9:00pm, Neal Boortz (syndicated) airs 9:00pm-12:00am, Overnight with Jon Grayson (syndicated) 1:00am-6:00am. On April 15, 2012 the station launched a new logo along with a new slogan, "AM 1350 WZGM - Your Independent Talk Alternative". As of now, morning air shifts are still Gospel format Monday through Friday. Weekend programming is also still Southern gospel format while the station builds up. The station has been strongly pushing for community content, in the form of community driven shows, since the start of April 2012. The transition of the station has made a lot of press in the region and even some coverage on industry publications such as Talkers Magazine. More programming additions are expected to be announced in the very near future.
