David W. Keith is a Canadian environmental scientist. His current position is the Gordon McKay Professor of Applied Physics, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and Professor of Public Policy, Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University.[citation needed]

He is the former director of the Institute for Sustainable Energy, Environment and Economy (ISEEE) Energy and Environmental Systems Group at the University of Calgary.[1] Keith has worked in carbon dioxide air capture both academically, and in his capacity as president of Carbon Engineering.

He has been featured on the Discovery Channel.[2][non-primary source needed] In 2006 Keith was selected by Canadian Geographic as Environmental Scientist of the Year and Time's Heroes of the Environment (2009).[1]
