Hi, I read somewhere that there was some copyright claim on the Vellore article. Is it still there? --[[User:Rsrikanth05|Rsrikanth05]] ([[User talk:Rsrikanth05|talk]]) 07:59, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

I contacted the guy who had raised the copy right issue, he said he doesn't know anything about vellore, he did that just as he felt like. And he took it back.

Helo

Few things to notice before updating the article.

  • Vellore was just inaugurated as Municipal Corporation and the boundaries/area still needs to be finalized. There is no official release on this so far.
  • Collect the correct data (provide references and proof) when you are providing information like area, population etc. This needs to be done for other cities like Nellai, Tirupur, Salem as well.

You may be from Vellore, it does not mean that you can give whatever information you feel so. Provide correct, accurate, relevant information with proof.

Thanks

Your contributed article, NH 777

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, NH 777. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - National Highway 234 (India). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at National Highway 234 (India) - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. WorLD8115 (TalK) 06:23, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And no matter what frustration don't use abusive language in the edit summaries. If you run into problems you can't handle ask for help at the india noticeboard or at the help desk or Administrator's notice board. someone will come along to help you.--Sodabottle (talk) 19:14, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I was able to do the undo to his previous version (i dint save, but checked if it was possible, probably due to your reversions since). If you find difficulty in rolling back, put up a notice in administrator's noticeboard, they should be able to undo any change.--Sodabottle (talk) 19:22, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Madurai

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I have had to revert your recent edit to Madurai. It looked to be interesting but because it was not in the English language and was a document that cannot be translated using Google Translate etc, I feel that it is unsuitable. If you can provide a translation then all should be ok. I do know that the TN government does issue a lot of documents translated into English, so perhaps this is one of them. Might be worth searching for. - Sitush (talk) 19:49, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I have now been provided with a story from The Hindu and am going to consult with some other experienced editors. - Sitush (talk) 20:10, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
summarising my reply in Sitush's talk page - The source is good, but the order comes into effect only when the 2011 local body polls are conducted later this year. So please dont update the infobox, but mention it within the article, clearly stating that the expansion hasnt happened yet (coimbatore article mentions this already)--Sodabottle (talk) 20:39, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Geico, Firstly, May I request you to follow talk page guidelines, when you are leaving a message for any user. Let me put the reason for my message first. From this link you'll come to know the Tamil Nadu page status on 23, January 2012. Some text were deleted, redundant text was found and then page was left orphaned by you. So I reverted it and then left a message to you. So I request you to visit the page status through the link above and decide about the issue. I'm well aware of CMC and VIT and its rankings. I do edit CMC page. Please realise the situation and the nature of your erroneous edits on that particular day. --BabuOnWiki (talk) 16:33, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hope you are now informed for what the vandal message is posted. CMC must be sure added in that list. Its the pride of Tamil Nadu and India. Also please sign in your talk by pressing the pencil button in the toolbar. --BabuOnWiki (talk) 16:48, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
