What makes a good source for this list? For example, the source given for [[Julio Iglesias]] is actually just a link to a shopping site ( [http://shopping.aol.com/beauty-health/fragrances-and-cologne/womens-perfume/manufacturer-vendors_julio-iglesias-JULIO/ AOL Shopping]). Such a link does prove that the fragrance in question exists, but should probably be avoided because of the potential for spamming the list and the tendency for shopping sites to change frequently. This list was originally part of the Perfume article but was spawned out because it was getting to unwieldy within the context of the original article. Wjousts 22:17, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Organization

If somebody feels up to it, it might be useful to organize this list, perhaps into sections for actors, models, sports people, etc. Wjousts 14:08, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If I can see a way this can be reorganised into a decent list, may I suggest removing all those who have been spokesperson for the perfume for a start as celebrities who have been spokesperson for products is nothing too uncommon, plus it is like having a list of celebrities who have been spokesperson for automobiles, they do nothing but get too unwieldly. Next, since nothing there is sourced, may I suggest adding reliable third party sources. I am saying this as I had originally considered creating a list for celebrities who had their own perfume before I discovered this list. Donnie Park (talk) 15:15, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Those listed as spokesperson have all now being removed considering nobody answered to my posts, my next step is sourcing, anythng without a reliable third party sources by December will be removed. Donnie Park (talk) 09:47, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

suspected hoax entry

I am removing the following entry, as a little research suggests that it may be a hoax:

Smells Like Children is the title of a Marilyn Manson album; I have been unable to find any reliable source suggesting that a perfume by this name exists. -- 192.250.34.161 14:52, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You may be right. A Google search brings up links like this one [1] but it's from 2005 and only suggests that:
he is in final negotiations with a major cosmetics company to launch his own perfume brand
But the fact that there are no online perfume sellers popping up suggests that it never happened. And the only link mentioning a name for the hypothetical fragrance actually references this article! Wjousts 21:59, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

What makes a good source for this list? For example, the source given for Julio Iglesias is actually just a link to a shopping site ( AOL Shopping). Such a link does prove that the fragrance in question exists, but should probably be avoided because of the potential for spamming the list and the tendency for shopping sites to change frequently.
