The members of Cash Cash originally formed in 2002 as The Consequence releasing numerous EPs including "Your Own Place" and "By The Bedside". The band was started by long time best friends Sam Frisch, Jean Paul Makhlouf and then bassist Jeff Sayers a.k.a. $nake$, for fun. Cash Cash also toured on the 2009 EZ Bronze Tour with Breathe Carolina. At the end of February and into the beginning of March 2010, they headlined an east coast mini tour with Shawn Fisher followed by their first full headlining US tour, "The Robots In Hightops Tour"

On December 15, 2009, the band released a new single. Their cover of Cascada's single "Everytime We Touch" includes rapper MC Oz and debuted on the Zune marketplace. On December 18, 2009, they premiered the song live at the School of Rock in South Hackensack, NJ[5] at their soldout hometown concert. On March 9, 2010 Cash Cash released a cover single of the Alphaville song "Forever Young".

That winter Cash Cash played the Seattle Kiss FM show "Jingle Bell Bash" with (The All - American Rejects, Cobra Starship, & All Time Low). The show was sold out with an 8,000 person audience.

The band released a new single in mid-November on Universal titled "Red Cup (I Fly Solo)" featuring Lacey Schwimmer (Dancing with the Stars) and Spose.

Cash Cash thought it would be a cool idea to release the original demo version of "Party In Your Bedroom" so their fans could see what the demo started out as before it was re-written for the album. This version contains different vocals, instruments, and alternative explicit lyrics.[6]

The group released their second full length album "Love or Lust" on April 19, 2011 through Twilight Records.

Shortly after Cash Cash released their first single "Sexin' On The Dance Floor feat. Jeffree Star" that gained a lot of internet success.

The group sold out a headlining tour in Japan as well as shows in Brazil in 2011 supporting their album "Love Or Lust"

The group returned to Japan in 2012 for another sold out tour supporting their new single "Michael Jackson (The Beat Goes On)."

In July, 2012 they released a lyric video on youtube of their song "Michael Jackson" that received over 100,000k fews in only a few weeks.

The group recently signed a deal with Spinnin' Records after having huge radio play with their single "Michael Jackson" on Slamfm in the Netherlands.

Cash Cash is currently Managed by Ozone Entertainment.

Their newest single, according to their official Facebook page, "Michael Jackson" is charting in the Netherlands and receiving major radio airplay.

Involvement with Sonic the Hedgehog

Cash Cash collaborated with Sega on the Sonic game, Sonic Colors. They worked on the theme song, "Reach for the Stars" as well as the ending song, "Speak with Your Heart".

On June 8, 2011, Alex Makhlouf appeared with Crush 40 to perform at the Sonic Boom event during E3 2011. The group performed "Speak with Your Heart" from Sonic Colors, the classic remix of "Escape From the City", "Super Sonic Racing", "Sonic Boom", and "Stardust Speedway" (alongside Jun Senoue).

Later that year, Cash Cash remixed 10 classic Sonic songs for the 20th anniversary game Sonic Generations.

On July 13, 2012, Cash Cash made an appearance at Sonic Boom during the San Diego Comic Con where they teamed up with Johnny and Jun of Crush 40 to perform songs in the Sonic franchise as well as their song "Party In Your Bedroom".
