SpongeBob SquarePants: Operation Krabby Patty is a 2001 video game released by THQ featuring SpongeBob SquarePants. It is the first video game for the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise.

Story

Plot: Plankton kidnapped Sandy, so he has to do tasks for Plankton to get her back.

Boating School 101: When SpongeBob wakes up, he can't find Sandy anywhere, but he finds a tape recorder and when he plays it, Plankton tells SpongeBob that Sandy has been hidden somewhere in Bikini Bottom and he'll have to complete various mission to get him back. SpongeBob's first task to go to Mrs. Puff's Boating School to get his learner's permit. Plankton tries to get the tape recorder to selfdestruct, but Plankton can't figure out where the wires go. When SpongeBob returns with the learner's permit, Plankton tells SpongeBob that the next thing he has to get is jellyfish jelly.

Hide N' Go Jellyfishin': On SpongeBob's way to Jellyfish Fields he asks Patrick for help and tells him about how Sandy got kidnapped and how he has to do missions to get him back, so Patrick agrees to help SpongeBob collect jellyfish jelly. After they collected all the jelly, SpongeBob looks all over for the tape recorder, but then he sees patrick's cloud thought that shows that he ate the tape recorder. SpongeBob was still able to press the play button, and Plankton tells SpongeBob that he needs a collection of krabby patties. After SpongeBob got mad, Patrick burps out the tape recorder, but the selfdestruction still backfires by counting the wrong way.

Invasion Of The Patty Snatchers: While SpongeBob walks to The Krusty Krab, a group of sea ants go to The Chum Bucket and Plankton shows them a video of krabby patty ingredients and when he tells them to bring them to this place, the sea ants thought he said his place, so after they collect the krabby patties, they bring them to SpongeBob's house, while SpongeBob gets a delivery of another tape recorder telling him that he has to collect some cheese and the tape recorder selfdestruction backfires again by saying that the tape has to be turned over to the other side. While SpongeBob heads to the fishing hooks, Plankton asks the sea ants what happened to the krabby patties and they tell him that they took them to SpongeBob's house.

Who Cut The Cheese?: When SpongeBob heads to the fishing hooks, he sees Squidward dancing there, so he asks Squidward to help him collect cheese to get Sandy back. Back at The Chum Bucket, Plankton tells the sea ants to take the tape recorder to SpongeBob's house and bring everything back to The Chum Bucket. After SpongeBob collects the cheese, he heads home and sees the tape recorder. When he plays it, he sees that there's no tape and doesn't realize that the sea ants are taking away his things.

Save Me Money: Plankton's machine tells him that he forgot to have money on the list of things he needs to have and that he forgot to put the tape in the tape recorder, so Plankton has the tape recorder transferred to SpongeBob and when SpongeBob puts the tape in the tape recorder, Plankton's machine tells him to tell SpongeBob that the last thing he needs is 100 dollars. SpongeBob wonders where he's going to get that kind of money and then he ends up on Mr. Krab's ship and he asks SpongeBob to save his treasure from the ghost pirates. After SpongeBob saves Mr Krab's treasure, he asks Mr. Krabs for 100 dollars, to give to Plankton to get Sandy back. Mr. Krabs agrees to it if SpongeBob will work for free for the next year and SpongeBob agrees to it. Meanwhile, at The Chum Bucket, while Plankton is counting the krabby patties being brought in, the sea ants also brought other things from SpongeBob's house including the tape recorder that's about to selfdestruct and Sandy also escapes through the window and she and SpongeBob are reunited. When Plankton hears his voice counting backwards, he sees that the sea ants brought the tape recorder that's about to selfdestruct, so the sea ants evacuate The Chum Bucket and it blows up and flies Plankton outside with no other plans.

But a few days later , Plankton has created a robot replica of Mr. Krabs to break into the Krusty Krab and steal the Krabby Patty recipe.

Invasion Of The Patty Snatchers: The sea ants head to The Chum Bucket while Plankton is finishing up Robo Krabs. After he's done, he presents Robo Krabs to the sea ants and a video of a krabby patty to load the patties into Robo Krabs. After they get the patties into the robot, they go the wrong way.

Boating School 101: When SpongeBob sees Robo Krabs out the window while at work, he decides to find Mr. Krabs to warn him about Robo Krabs, but Squidward tells SpongeBob that Mr. Krabs is on a treasure hunt, so SpongeBob goes to Mrs. Puff's boating school to get his learner's permit, so he can find Mr. Krabs faster. After SpongeBob receives his permit, he crashes his boat on to the dock step of the school and flies out of his boat and lands near Patrick.

Who Cut The Cheese?: After SpongeBob shows Patrick his permit, it flies out of his hand and a clam eats it, so SpongeBob has to think of another way to find Mr. Krabs, but Patrick distracts him, by showing him fishing hooks with cheese on them, which he mistakes for a carnival. After SpongeBob eats the last piece of cheese, he holds on to the fishing hook, and when it pulls him up he sees Robo Krabs on another hook, so after he lets go of the hook, he lands on a jellyfish and it takes him to Jellyfish Fields where Sandy is.

Hide N' Go Jellyfishin': SpongeBob gets another distracion, but this time it's Sandy wanting to go jellyfishing with SpongeBob. After they're done jellyfishing, SpongeBob remembers that he still has to find Mr. Krabs to tell him about Robo Krabs, but then a jellyfish goes into his net and flies him to Mr. Krab's ship.

Save Me Money: After SpongeBob lands on Mr. Krab's ship, ghost pirates start stealing treasure so SpongeBob helps Mr. Krabs save his treasure from the ghost pirates. After the treasure is saved, SpongeBob finally tells Mr. Krabs about the Robo Krabs Plankton made to get the krabby patties, but Mr. Krabs isn't worried because he knows that it's another one of Plankton's failed attempts that will backfire. The sea ants pick it up on the monitor inside Robo Krabs and Plankton gets mad that Mr. Krabs is making fun of him, so when he tells the robots to push the fire button, they accidentally made Robo Krabs selfdestruct and it turned to ash along with another attempt foiled.
