Fritz Artz Springmeier is an American conspiracy theorist, researcher, and author, formerly a resident of Corbett, Oregon, who has written a number of books claiming that satanic forces are behind a move toward world domination by various families and organizations.[1] He has described his goal as "exposing the New World Order[2] agenda."

Conspiracy theories

Springmeier has written, been published, and self-published a number of books based on the ideology of what's been described as Satanism [3] and mind control. Satanism is no conspiracy

He has endorsed the plausibility of Project Monarch, being a continuation of the mind control Project MK Ultra which was a covert, illegal human research program into behavioral modification run by the Central Intelligence Agency's (CIA) Office of Scientific Intelligence.[4][5][6][7][8] He documented former victims testimonies, including Cisco Wheeler (daughter of Earle Wheeler, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff).[9][10][11]

Springmeier's early work, The Watchtower & The Masons: A Preliminary Investigation, focuses on the relationship between Jehovah's Witnesses and Freemasonry. In this book he describes a relationship between Charles Taze Russell and The Watchtower Society. Springmeier followed these links into Masonry and did a further examination of the Jehovah's Witness, referring to court records and scans from the original Watchtower magazines.[12][13]

Criminal conviction

On January 31, 2002, Springmeier was indicted in the United States District Court in Portland, Oregon[14] in connection with an armed robbery. On February 12, 2003, he was found guilty of one count of armed bank robbery in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2113(a) and (d) and one count of aiding and abetting in the use of a semi-automatic rifle during the commission of a felony in violation of 18 U.S.C § 924(c)(1).[15][16] In November 2003, he was sentenced to 51 months in prison on the armed robbery charge and 60 months on the aiding and abetting charge, fined $7,500, ordered to pay $6,488 in restitution, and assessed an additional $200.[17] Springmeier's conviction was affirmed by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.[18] He was imprisoned, and was released from federal prison on March 25, 2011.[19][20]

In an interview soon after his release Springmeier said, "Jail was going to sleep like Rip Van Winkle. I wake up after eight years and find that everyone has a cell phone glued to their ears."[21] On November 1, 2011 he returned with an exclusive interview on the syndicated radio program, The Alex Jones Show titled, "Political Prisoner Fritz Springmeier Speaks."[1]
