All of these things should be OBVIOUS to anyone who's ever been there. Why does a book have to be written and cited to confirm the obvious? I think some of you Wikipedia snobs get a little over zealous on the citations needed. |

It's a fact that they sell T-Shirts, bumper stickers, and souvenirs. It's a fact that the sign is basically ignored, as people swim in the creek all the time. I can state this as fact because I lived there from '94-'98. |

You'll probably find that it isn't eorth the THREE copies of the book you would sell to write a book stating these common-sense items just so the Wiki-snobs can have an ISBN number to paste after each sentence. |

The original submission is a direct copy past of the first paragraph from the history section of www.luckenbachtexas.com The site carries no copyright notice and they'd probably appreciate the noteriety, but it should most likely be reworked on principle. Everything I wrote is based solely on testimony from many hung-over peers and classmates while attending college (especially the road trips and arrests part.) Confusing...
One paragraph claims that Waylon Jennings had never been to Luchenbach, TX and the next paragraph claims that he has. Perhaps he performed there later after making the comment?
In his 2000 book Are You Ready for the Country?, author Peter Doggett recalls that Jennings later told audiences that "he hated the song and (had) admitted 'The guys that wrote the thing have never been to Luckenbach. Neither have I.'"
