I work as a MINI Motoring Advisor at MINI of Des Moines (Iowa). The entry that I failed to validate was from the MINI and the fact is that the first Paceman models in the US were distributed to dealers one week ago - we received ours on Saturday, March 9th. Hence the attempted edit. Sorry that I failed to do it correctly my first time out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.178.240.2 (talk) 23:10, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for interrupting, I just want to say genre problem of David Bowie's two albums Hours... and Heathen, and that's because User talk:DrDrake100 can't allow others to revert genres. In Allmusic, actually says "Genre: Pop/Rock" (eventually it's a rock album). Art rock and experimental rock are listed under "Styles", which aren't direct enough. Rock music stays as the only genre since that's the source.

Thanks

I've been here for nearly 7 months, and altho I have had some compliments on some of my skills, you are the first to actually say you respect me. That felt pretty damn good, especially after all the disrespect everyone involved got at the Lake Michigan-Huron fiasco this week. Thanks a bunch! To Biker Biker. Many thanks for keeping Wikipedia articles clear of spam and other nonsense. Cheers Hu12 (talk) 02:10, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bring your own device

Per this edit you should probably see this. Really except in the highest quality articles or on BLP material being unsourced isn't really a reason to remove it.©Geni 07:41, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but that's wrong. Many new users get frustrated because of the need to provide references from reliable sources for their additions. Most come to realise, but the odd one (like the one in this case) throw their toys out of the pram and say "I don't want to play anymore". Wikipedia is a better place without such users. --Biker Biker (talk) 08:35, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually they did try and provide a reference but they got reverted for spamming. And our new user retention rate suggests that most don't.©Geni 17:10, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Additon of link

I disagree. The web site has been on-line more than eleven years and has many external links. Many NHS and ambulance service links. I think you should reconsider and look at the content of the site suggested before making a decision. It seems unreasonable to exclude so quickly.

I looked. It fails WP:ELNO, you have added it multiple times, it is spam. --Biker Biker (talk) 16:59, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I have read your policies and I am puzzled why my links to the International Skat Players Association (directing interested parties to more information about the game) are considered forbidden, yet the link to the American Contract Bridge League is permissible on the Contract Bridge Wikipedia page. Kindly clarify the inconsistency.

Best regards,

wktthompson — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wktthompson (talkcontribs) 16:57, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not a valid argument. See WP:OTHERSTUFF. That said, I'm happy to remove the American link as well. Thanks for giving me the heads up that it too, like your own link, is spam. --Biker Biker (talk) 17:00, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. I am inexperienced with Wikipedia editing, so I am still learning. My aim is to be informative, not strictly promotional, and certainly not difficult or argumentative with you personally. Is it acceptable for me to author a Wikipedia page on ISPA (as the ACBL has done) and make listings of specific branches (with websites) on a sub-page? Please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Contract_Bridge_League http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bridge_federations I'm not trying trying to "rat" on the bridge league, just trying to get a fair sense of Wikipedia policies, which, like many policies, are subject to interpretation. Thanks. Wktthompson (talk) 17:32, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

2 quick things - vintage MX and MINI

Motorcycles first: Nice to hear that you too are an enthusiast. I race vintage motocross. Bultaco Pursang, m206, Yamaha YZ465, etc. These are 70's early 80's classes. Race in Iowa, Wisc, Minn, Il, NE, etc. We've been doing it since 1971. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.178.240.2 (talk) 23:10, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
