Would really appreciate if you could get back to me on why you have deleted 10ticks? It satisfies all wikipedia guidelines for notable having multiple sources from different countries. The result was Keep in favor of 4 to 2, but yet you still delete it and refuse to give an explanation. I guess democracy and following guidelines counts for nothing.

40th MPD

I see you removed speedy del tag, I will take up the issue, probably prod. But I wanted to explain, The article does not state that the unit is notable for any particular reason. It has a history, and as such has done something of note, however, I don't think that means every military unit should have an article. Sephiroth storm (talk) 13:57, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think the fact that it has a history, and to use your words, "has done something of note" - means you agree it might be notable? If it might be notable, it isn't a speedy candidate, and I would personally even contest a prod, especially an article that's been around for years. Granted, it may not end up staying, but it should be brought to a discussion, imo. Not necessarily an afd discussion, but maybe a milhist/talkpage discussion first. Finding sources, if you chooose to do so yourself, may prove difficult being an older mil unit - I recommend you bring the article to the attention of the milhist wikiproject for some dead-tree sources - I believe they (milhist) are still active? You may even be a member. I have no knowledge of military history stuff personally (or interest), so I won't be of much help. And honestly, they may be entirely NN. No hard feelings I hope, I believe it was a good faith tagging, I just happen to disagree with your call on this particular one. Cheers, Keeper | 76 17:30, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, should have checked the article before replying, I see you brought it to afd. All good - (and you made a nice, detailed nom statement - kudos for that). Regards, Keeper | 76 17:31, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As promised :) Just wanted to follow up and let you know this is done. Cheers! §FreeRangeFrogcroak 18:48, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ha! You're fast, looks great. Tis a shame that Owasso Public Schools is a redlink - I took a look, there are 24 deleted edits that were deleted as a copyvio, so I can't userfy them. Maybe a school stub would be next on your list? :-) Keeper | 76 23:02, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I will add it to my ever-growing "to do" list :) §FreeRangeFrogcroak 23:43, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please take off the lock so I can create this page? The past people who tried to create it didn't have sources, which I have. --TheShadowCrow (talk) 16:59, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. --TheShadowCrow (talk) 17:24, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

welcome back?

do I hear there's a Keeper back in the house? I had a brief return at the end of last year but I apparently lost interest since I hadn't even loaded my talk to see your message. Whoops. I'll try to peek in more often to visit my favorite Twinkies fan. Yankees won tonight saving them from an apparent 0-162 if you listen to fans, media. Was at part of the Yankees game last night. Left early when I couldn't feel my feet! All is well here just crazy busy. How about Keeper-land? What brought about your return? If there's an archive link feel free to link me. You say favorite Twinkies fan as if you have lots of them...:-) For the first time in 2 years, the Twinks were over .500 on the season. Of course, it was 2-1. And of course, it is now 2-2 thanks to the O's. Oh, well. Lots of interesting new players for the Twinks, lots of interesting injured old players for the Yanks, should make for a frustrating year for both of us. Not sure actually when they play each other this year, is it early again? As far as what brought about a return? I dunno. I just basically showed up again, (mostly to read up on some twins pages to see if they were being updated; they were) and then started poking around, decided to see if the rust could be broken off the admin buttons, closed a few afds, deleted a few csds. Nothing major. No archive to of any major announcement or anything, just started. It's kinda fun again - didn't realize it had been 4 years of nothing much more than our random football/baseball discussions for that long! Time flies. All is good in Keeperland, I'll probably keep poking about, but no where near as active as the late-oughts by any stretch. Way too busy irl as always. Keeper | 76 23:47, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
