Looking at the list on [[The Ultimate Fighter]], this is the 17th installment, not the 16th? Also, Dana White said on the first episode of [[The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes]] that that was the 18th. 16th or 17th?

Looking at the list on The Ultimate Fighter, this is the 17th installment, not the 16th? Also, Dana White said on the first episode of The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes that that was the 18th. Oskar Liljeblad (talk) 08:46, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

I propose that The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson Finale be merged into The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson. I think that The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson Finale on its own fails WP:EVENT and WP:MMANOT and would be better suited in the context of the season as a whole (as shown in The Ultimate Fighter: Live) Dohertyben (talk) 00:47, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Support Merge This event determined the winner of this season of TUF and held the "coaches fight" (although Carwin was replaced due to injury). I see no evidence that this particular event is notable outside of this particular season of TUF. I think it would be better suited as part of the article on the TUF season itself as is done for several other seasons (and should be done for all season IMO). I also believe that extraneous statistics (specifically fighter payout) should not be merged as per Wikipedia:NOT#STATS or at the very least summarized. --TreyGeek (talk) 02:38, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Support I've never really understood why the finales have become separate articles from the rest of the series. That's normally not true for other TV shows. Papaursa (talk) 22:46, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Support merge: Per the rationale provided. I agree that The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson Finale does not meet the criteria of WP:EVENT or even WP:MMAEVENT on its own, so there is no justification for a stand-alone article and a merge is the best alternative. Support Merge - It's not clear the finale could survive an AfD on its own. Also, even from the standpoint of what will make the most sense to the reader, having the finale combined with the rest of the season seems like the way to go. CaSJer (talk) 22:34, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
