Jilin City No.1 High School was found in 1907 (Qing dynasty 33 years). Early 1907, is the time when the Qing imperial court abolished the imperial examination. The Qing dynasty want to construction school, reward students in an attempt to revitalize education. Overseas students, Sun Shutang, Zhao Mingxin, Nie Shuqing, Ba Yang'a and Wu Yusen, returned to home country and wrote a joint letter to stand for establishing high school. In March 29 1907, the Jilin Academy which was the first found goverment run general high school was established. In 1912, the school was renamed to Jilin Province High School, four year of schooling and in 1913, renamed to Jilin Province No.1 High School.In 1978, this school was subsequently identified as the key high school in Jilin province and renamed to Jilin City No.1 High School. |
