Sniper Elite 3 is an upcoming third-person tactical shooter being developed by Rebellion Developments and published by 505 Games. It is the sequel to 2012's Sniper Elite V2, which is in turn a sequel/remake of 2005's Sniper Elite. The game was announced in early 2014 in a press release. The game will be released on the PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles. It's releases on the Wii U, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 have yet to be confirmed.
Plot
Sniper Elite 3 continues the story of the American OSS Sniper from the previous games, Karl Fairburne. The game, like the previous installments, will be set sometime during the Second World War, though an exact time period has not been specified.
Gameplay
According to a press release, Sniper Elite 3 will be a much more open ended experience than the previous game, while also being a much more refined experience with new environments, refined gameplay elements and a new storyline. The game features "refined and new features", and the iconic X-Ray Cam will return. Sniper Elite 3 will be made as much more of a sandbox game in comparison to previous installments, with open ended environments.
