August 2013

Information icon Hello, I'm NeilN. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Rahul Gandhi, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. You need to use news reports, not opinion pieces. Adding {{fact}}

First of all, Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you added {{fact}} in the Subhash Chandra Bose article, even though it was cited in two sources.(example:1) I recommend you read about citing sources and citation needed tag. The following links will also be helpful:

It is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. Hope you enjoy and stay for long here, Ugog Nizdast (talk) 09:33, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for stalking me. Did you read this:

“We don’t believe this. This is a wrong campaign. Netaji himself discarded it while he was addressing rally to inspire Indian National Army cadets in Japan. He told them, ‘I have no children and you are my children’. --Pee3.14159 (talk) 18:26, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Partition of India

The source I cited (in fact which you inserted) uses the word Anxious for India, for which I have used eagerness, which has more positive meaning than the former. You better read the sources cited fully before doing any further edits (and also please revert your last edit on this article). Secondly I must make you aware that the article you are editing falls in the contentious topic area, which is under ARBCOM allowed Discretionary sanctions, so making any pov edits (not adhering to WP:NPOV) or souce falsification in this topic area can get you sanctioned. Happy editing! --SMS Talk 17:26, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notification

The Arbitration Committee has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions (information on which is at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions) on any editor who is active on pages broadly related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, satisfy any standard of behavior, or follow any normal editorial process. If you continue to misconduct yourself on pages relating to this topic, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The Committee's full decision can be read at the "Final decision" section of the decision page. Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions, with the appropriate sections of Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Procedures, and with the case decision page before making any further edits to the pages in question. This is a non administrator notification, and will be logged as such on the case decision, pursuant to the conditions of the Arbitration Committee's discretionary sanctions system.

Edits on the Thackerays

Hi, I've come here to discuss it and hopefully end this. The content which which you keep adding grossly violates our NPOV and our BLP policies, adding citations in it does NOT help here. If you ever want this content to ever be added, please discuss it on the article's talk page. Putting it again and again in the article, causes a nuisance to every editor involved. Your content can be framed in a more neutral manner and stick to just the facts rather than reflecting the source's opinion. For more help, you can discuss it on the talk page and get everyone's agreement. Please don't quickly add it again so fast (Please see the WP:3RR, WP:BRD and WP:BLOCK). Sincerely, Ugog Nizdast (talk) 07:51, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Would you rather suppress the history written by Prabodhankar Thackeray? What do you mean by "more neurtral"? Don't you know that all the Thackerays only do the politics of hatred, violence and xenophobia? Are you not aware that Bal Thackeray was disenfranchised for this by the Supreme Court? --Pee3.14159 (talk) 22:00, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Do what you please, if no other editor participates or neutrally words your statements after some time, if I feel like, I'll do the job. I remind you that this is a collaborative editing environment where discussion is encouraged and edit warring is extremely frowned upon. Also once here, it is advised that we leave all your views, prejudices, and beliefs at the door. I'm telling you this since I want you to edit here successfully and hope things don't get ugly for you in the future and for others. Sincerely, Ugog Nizdast (talk) 15:33, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest to you that you write an eulogy on Osama bin Laden to sound "more neutral".--Pee3.14159 (talk) 18:39, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 26

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Prevalence of female genital mutilation by country, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bohra (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
