Philip Klapwijk is the Managing Director of Precious Metals Insights Limited a precious metals markets consultancy company based in Hong Kong. He speaks regularly at conferences on precious metals and commodities and his views on the gold, silver and PGMs markets are regularly quoted in professional online media, the business press and in financial news channels such as Bloomberg News. In the 2009 London bullion market LBMA Forecast Philip Klapwijk was awarded the prizes for the year's most accurate forecaster for both gold and silver prices.

Philip Klapwijk was formerly Executive Chairman and Global Head of Metals Analytics of GFMS (formerly Gold Fields Mineral Services) a precious metals consultancy specialising in global gold, silver, platinum and palladium market research and analysis that since 2011 has been part of Thomson Reuters.[1]

Philip Klapwijk has degrees in economics from the London School of Economics and from the College of Europe, Bruges Belgium.
