Greatest Hits is a reissue of Mötley Crüe's 1998 compilation of the same name. The album charted at #10 on the Top hard rock albums and #9 on the Top independent albums chart. The album contains a remix version of "The Animal In Me". The first print of this album is packaged with a second disc entitled Crüe Fest 2: Behind The Scenes. The reissue excludes the songs, "Enslaved", the remix of "Glitter" and "Bitter Pill".

The track listing is composed of the band's greatest hits written and recorded solely by the original line-up of Lee, Mars, Neil, and Sixx; songs from the albums Mötley Crüe and New Tattoo are not included.

At the side of the CD it titles MOTLEY CRUE Greatest Hits (uptated) which means its an Uptated version of 1998's Greatest Hits and 2005's Red White & Crue.
