Armeena Rana Khan professionally known as Armeena Khan is a Canadian film actress and International commercial model.

Khan is based in London and Dubai from where she shuttles between projects in Europe and South Asia. Her distinctive looks transcend East and West allowing Khan to work in Pakistan, Dubai, India, North America and Europe. She has featured in lists of the top 10 most beautiful female models in the UK and top 50 most sexiest south Asian women in the world alongside other popular Celebrities.

Early life

Khan was brought up in Canada, and although her family originate from Pakistan, she is of mixed heritage. Her father's side are Rajasthani Rajput, whilst her mother’s side are Iranian and Pukhtoon. Khan’s initial interest in acting came whilst studying drama at high school in Ontario, Canada. In her final year she was offered a modelling contract in Toronto but was unable to accept it in part due to the insistence of her family, that she prioritise first the completion of her higher education. So after finishing high school Khan moved to the United Kingdom to attend university in Manchester. In 2008 she graduated with an honours degree in Business. But she immediately turned away from a full-time career in business by rejecting the traditional UK Blue chip graduate management route in favour of her goal of acting.

Career

Modelling

Her early efforts at procuring work in the UK resulted in offers from glamour magazines and risqué acting roles in English-language productions. She rejected these as they conflicted with her vision to forge a ‘Clean and Exemplary’ acting career consistent with her values. Her first significant screen role came when she was offered a role in the 2009 music video for ‘Dil Ka Diya’ by Singer Omer Nadeem. She was spotted by advertisement producer, Sohail Jawed and commercials agent Khawar Riaz. They offered her to star in the Faysal Bank print and television advertisement campaign of 2010, which introduced her to South Asian television. This was then followed in 2011 by her prolific campaign for Nisha by Nishat produced by Guudu and Shani. This was so successful that Khan was asked to head a larger repeat campaign in 2012. Khan has consistently refused to compromise on her values to further her career.
