Lindsay Weir is one of two main characters on the 1999-2000 NBC dramedy Freaks and Geeks. She lives in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, in the early 1980s with her younger brother, Sam Weir, and their parents, Jean Weir and Harold Weir.

Having been first block on the Mathletes team the year before and the pride of most of her teachers, Lindsay was marked for success. Though she is probably the most brilliant student at McKinley High School, Lindsay has become enamored with the more underground, "freak" element at school. After the death of her grandmother, feeling out-of-touch with everything and everyone around her, Lindsay decides to join the "freaks"--a group of burnouts at McKinley High. Upon joining the "freaks," Lindsay develops a crush on the group's unofficial leader, Daniel Desario, though she ends up instead dating Nick Andopolis for part of the series. Torn between her new image and her old self, she is often thrown into situations where she must choose between her two worlds.

Endowed with a strong sense of morality and what is fair, Lindsay's decisions are often based on what she thinks will be best for those around her. However, when she does make the wrong decision, her old friends, family, and guidance counsellor are always there to help lead her back in the right direction.

Played by Linda Cardellini.
