I am very interested in the '''troubled teen industry'''. I have never attended a troubled teen school or facility myself, nor have I had any family member that did so. However I do have a family member that did work as staff at such a facility, and have known several other people who worked as staff at such facilities as well. I also know several people online, and a few in RL, that attended such places as students.
I have mixed feelings about the industry as a whole. While i feel many of these programs can be very useful, I feel that way to many abuses occur. On the other hand I am concerned by some of the attack tactics in use by by critics of the industry and concerned that in some cases reports of abuse at schools may be fabricated or exaggerated. The converse concern i have is counter attacks against critics of the industry, including legal bullying such as spurious cease and desist letters, anonymous counter attack websites and the like.

This user feels that legally, a marriage is a secular contract between 2 adults. Claiming marriage is primarily a religious institution is contrary to US customs, traditions and law, and is a deliberate insult to the millions of Americans who have chosen to get married in a non-religious civil ceremony
