Celebrities section?

Why does this exist? Individual celebrities seem largely irrelevant when compared to massive organizations, should it be deleted? Frogg220 (talk) 10:54, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It is relevant because it has been covered in third party publications and is therefore notable and also because, like it or not, people care what celebrities do. - Ahunt (talk) 13:25, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Because the [Dalai Lama] enjoys Linux Games. I challenge anyone to find a more notable fan of Linux games.

Businesses

The list of businesses using Linux seems quite small. Either Linux is used much less than I thought or there are very many more businesses that could be added. Sam Tomato (talk) 02:57, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am sure there are lots more, but many just don't write about it. We just need refs to add them. - Ahunt (talk) 11:43, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Android

Android is Linux, right? Doesn't Android qualify for mention here? Sam Tomato (talk) 02:58, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, but it is not usually "adopted" as an operating system by an organization per se, but if you have refs showing it has been then it can be added. - Ahunt (talk) 11:41, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Depends what you mean by Linux. Most user use the word to mean Gnu/Linux, but some people are aware that it is just a kernel. Therefore the article title should be made more clear, is it Gnu/Linux adoption or Linux kernel adoption. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.29.164.180 (talk) 22:38, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No, we aren't going there! Read GNU/Linux naming controversy. The consensus is that we don't use the term "GNU/Linux" on Wikipedia as it is a minority and POV term. On Wikipedia Linux kernel refers to the kernel, while as per WP:COMMONNAME, Linux refers to any operating system that incorporates the Linux kernel. This article deals with organizations that run computer operating systems based on Linux. - Ahunt (talk) 22:49, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
