Cosmo Wright (born July 21, 1989) is a speedrunner and co-founder[1][2][3] of the website SpeedRunsLive, which allows speedrunners to race with one another in real-time.[2][4][5] Wright has held the record for the fastest completion of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Chinese iQue Player,[6] The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on the Nintendo Gamecube,[7][8] as well as Paper Mario and Castlevania 64 on the Nintendo 64.[9] Wright has attended many notable charity speedrunning events.[10][11]

Biography

Wright was born and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.[1] He first attempted speed-running after receiving a copy of the game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, from his parents.[1] He later moved to Chicago to attend Columbia College Chicago where he studied graphic design. After graduating, Wright worked in the freelance art and web design field.[12]
