Karan Singh Grover (born February 23, 1982),[1] is an Indian actor, model and producer.
Grover was born in in Delhi, India. When he was young his family moved to Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. He did his schooling at International Indian School Dammam. In 2000, he moved to Mumbai, India, and pursued a degree in Hotel Management from IHM Mumbai, Dadar Catering College.[4]
He later pursued a career in modeling and participated in the Gladrags Mega Model Manhunt contest in 2004 and won the award of the most popular model.[4] He began his television career with Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi .[5]
In 2007 Grover joined Dill Mill Gayye, a medical drama,[6] the show had the best ratings on the channel STAR One.[7] Grover left the show for a while, but returned on to the show after 6 months due to popular demand.[8]
Grover married Jennifer Winget, his friend and co-star from Dill Mill Gayye and Kasautii Zindagii Kay, on April 9, 2012.[3]
In the end of 2012 Grover joined Qubool Hai[9][10] and won 2 Best Actor Awards for his portrayal of Asad Ahmed Khan[11][12]
Grover left Qubool Hai at the end of 2013.[13] The channel accused him of unprofessionalism,[14][15] He denied the allegations and stated that the channel was trying to defame him.[16][17] Fans protested to bring Grover back on to the show.[18]
In May 2014 Grover became a producer with 4 Lions Films.[19][20] In June 2014 his movie Alone was announced.[21][22]
