Wander Over Yonder is an American animated comedy television series produced by Disney Television Animation previously for Disney Channel, now for Disney XD. The series officially premiered on August 16, 2013. The show's creator and executive producer is Craig McCracken. His wife Lauren Faust served as co-producer and story editor of Season 1. Since March 31, 2014, new episodes of the series aired on Disney XD first, then on Disney Channel.

A Disney Television Animation press release on June 23, 2014 announced that a second season had been ordered.[27] According to series creator, Craig McCracken, there will be 4 22-minute episodes forming one long story arc along with 36 11-minute stand alone episodes that also loosely relate to the arc.
