Remake reminiscent of Gilligan's Island? I don't think this can be right, although I have never seen G.I. Is there anyone who has seen both who can confirm this please? DavidFarmbrough 12:58 (BST) 6 September 2005

I've heard very bad things about the musical. It's just a joke and doesn't really belong here, but it's so funny, I'm not going to remove it. Besides, the comparison is an insult to Gilligan's Island. Clarityfiend 04:32, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shortened version

The reason for the editing currently given on the page is a new one on me. I thought it was cut down to fit a double bill after FDR said a certain group of bombers involved in an air raid on Japan "came from Shangri La". Unfortunately, my source isn't handy (it was either in a Halliwell book or on the DVD commentary, which goes deeply into the restoration). Ending

2013 restoration

Does the 2013 digital restoration of the film restore its original length? Given the cuts to the film, this should be mentioned.
