Black Super Hero, helped Bassman75 to become the first unsigned Angolan recording artist independently to have his music video featured on BET and MTVbase as well as the first to be interviewed by Hip-Hop Magazine The Source and HIP-HOP WEEKLY. In July 2007, with that much exposure Bassman75 still haven’t been signed into a major label, so they decided to create their own independent label called Black Magic Records by releasing Bassman75's first studio album I Got Lucky. The album was released June 15th 2007 in the US, but unfortunately did not make the expected sales, but this did not stop Bassman75 and his partner Jessie James to continue to fight. In August 2007, they reached out to Atlanta, GA producer Big Ken and international platinum house producer and dj, Yves LaRock.

In March 2008, they released I got lucky reloaded. The lead single on the album, which is entitled Jamaican Grind, is a certified club banger, in addition, did extremely well not only in North America but across the world. While some rap music claims to hail straight from the streets, Bass comes straight out of Angola, Africa and he has the linguistics skills to prove it. Fluent in six different languages, Bass sticks mostly to English on his I Got Lucky album. I Got Lucky showcases Bassman75 not wanting to be a gangster or a pimp, but simply an emcee. The content ranges greatly from songs about personal history, African Soldier, to lust; I’m Horny, to straight up party jams, Black Super Hero. I Got Lucky was Bassman75’s exercise in flexing his musical muscle and seeing which directions he moves in best.
