The Concord Production Inc. (Chinese: 協和電影公司) is a production company founded in 1971 from Hong Kong by Bruce Lee[1] in the company 50% with Raymond Chow , founder of Golden Harvest.[2] Bruce Lee was in charge of the creative decisions and Raymond Chow was in charge of the administration.[3] The shares of Bruce Lee were sold to Raymond Chow from wife Linda in 1976[4]

Production

The Concord Production co-produced the film:

  • Way of the Dragon (1972) with the Golden Harvest
  • Enter the Dragon (1973) with Raymond Chow and Warner Bros.
  • Bruce Lee, the Man and the Legend (1973) with the Golden Harvest (documentary)[5]
  • The Game of Death, unfinished because of the death of Bruce Lee . Consisting of just over 30 minutes of footage in 1972 in co -production with Golden Harvest . Distribution

In the film Way of the Dragon, Lee was very proud of the result but also aware of the pitfalls of the film, why he did not want to come out in the West, aware of the different tastes of the public not Asian . However after his death Raymond Chow sold the film everywhere. When he came out abroad in the opening credits the logo of Concord Production Inc.[7]Raymond Chow decided to remove leaving only that of the Golden Harvest.[8]

In addition to in this distribution phase (which took place after the death of Bruce Lee) by Raymond Chow , in opening titles and closing credits of the film Way of the dragon and Game of Death is the only producer Raymond Chow 's Golden Harvest.[9] Unlike the film 's Enter the Dragon [10] in the other two it is neither the Concord Production Inc. or Bruce Lee as a producer . The production of Bruce Lee in the two films was then published in many documentaries that even Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey.

Even the alternative Chinese film Enter the Dragon differs from the original version produced by Warner Bros resulting as a producer Raymond Chow.[11]
