Different pages have different sections. some are having lyrics, screenplay which are not seen on others instead they have blank fields of story and screenplay, like in 1978, 1979, 81. Removing blanks fields might not a matter.Jai98 (talk) 17:04, 3 October 2014 (UTC)

I was just going through all the list all r having different fields. 2014 list have film, director, cast and genre, while early 2000s have screenplay instead of genre, late 1990s have music instead of genre and so on. A uniqueness would b better. Following the format of 2014 would be a bad idea, unless we see the movies before 1970 we wont get the genre of movie, since no much reference is available.

Formatting is very nice, it requires lot of patience. It would be better if u try to do it on previous lists as well. Though I know its a tedious job, u can do it. :)

If we use serial no. then every time we need to update, whenever we found a movie somewhere that was released in that year. For release date, I found 60-70% of the movie doesn't have the date and only the year.Vaidyasr (talk) 13:29, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

I guess all the 1960s and 1970s movies are there on the list. I don't think it will be such a difficult task for us to update the sl no in-case of addition of a missed one among 50-60 or a maximum of 100 old movies. After all we wont be needing to update all the time since no more movies are going to release on lists of 1960s and 1970s.

Secondly releasing dates of almost all movies are available on the site reference which we provided on each movie article. If its not available we can leave the field blank hoping one day an editor with the knowledge about this will add.(like now we are adding the details to the movie articles which created years back and released even before we born). Save this on ur future to-do list, may be we can do it after creating all the old movie articles. Anyways its just a suggestion, take it or leave it.Jai98 (talk) 13:52, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

I had a look in malayalasangeetham.info website and found there are 140 movies released in 1978, where as in the wiki, I found only 120. So, am not sure whether anything we have missed or belongs to different year. I will add the serial no. but for release date, once we have all inputs, we can add it. ok Thanks, that will do it.malayalamchalachithram.com have release dates for almost all movies. Also go through this http://www.malayalachalachithram.com/movie.php . One more thing, In wiki we don't add unreleased movies to the lists whereas on other sites they unnecessarily include unreleased and dubbed movies which makes the usual list long.Jai98 (talk) 14:28, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

Just compare List of Malayalam films of 1996 with [1] lot of movies are missing in the 1996 list, like Moonilonnu, Man of the Match, Kaanchanam, Mimics Super 1000, Sukhavaasam, Ishtamaanu Nooru Vattam and many more. Kindly add the missed ones if possible.Jai98 (talk) 04:18, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

What would be great is if the two of you could get into the habit of creating film director templates like Template:A. C. Tirulokchandar and Template:A. P. Nagarajan. I know directors are often neglected in Indian cinema but It think it really improves organisation. All you have to do is copy the example I've done for each director. If the director has a few films start the article is he's missing and create templates. See if you can create one for Visu @ Template:Visu copying the format of Template:A. P. Nagarajan. Avoid adding films they starred in as actors to the templates though. Can you also add Malayalam year list links to the other year templates like this? Wrong Link in Sodari

I see that you've updated wrong link for Actress Jayashree in the article. The Film was released in 1955 and the B.Jayshree you linked was born on 1950. So both cannot be true. Please remove the wrong link in the article. Thanks! Lokesh 2000 (talk)
