Template:Samurai Shodown character Kusaregedo (妖怪腐れ外道) is an video game character in the Samurai Shodown series.

History

Kusaregedo was previously a human, but was transformed into a gaki because of his habit of cannibalism. In his present demonic form, he is cursed with an insatiable appetite.

After slaughtering and devouring several people one day, he (unsurprisingly) found himself still consumed with an insaitible lust for more prey. Smelling a young girl (named Rimururu) not far away, he quickly gave chase. The child, sensing his presence, ran away, and Kusaregedo's mind was consumed with only one thought: "I want to eat that girl. I want to eat. I want to eat..."

In his ending however, he fails to capture and devour Rimururu, and instead consumes his own daughter, Hakana.

Trivia

  • His name, "Youkai Kusaregedou" (妖怪腐れ外道), translates only in sections. "Youkai" refers to a demon or ghost. "Kusare" means "rotten," and "gedou" literally translates to "heretical doctrine."
