In Hong Kong, some of them are about social satire; some talk about daily lives of Hong Kongers; some caricaturists also talk about past lives of Hong Kong in order to recall a collective memory, etc. McDull is the first well-known society-related comic created by two local caricaturists, Alice Mak and Brian Tse. They use a hilarious way to express the core value, diligence.

The old muddled series (《老懵董系列》) also to be mentioned, It was the famous ironic comics and it was launched by "sub-culture hall" in 2000. It is a political series of comics, The cover of the comics is a seemingly old Tung sitting naked on the toilet. It is so extremely sarcastic. The comics ironic for first SAR Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa is failure to manage the society.

Moreover, Bi Bi Pig[2] is a popular Facebook fan page which almost all the posts are using society-related comics since the start of 2014. Bi Bi Pig[3] is the main character of all those comics and the drawing that used to describe his are always got a theme like “the things that drive you crazy” or “my childhood memory”. As Bi Bi Pig[4] is set to be a Hongkonger, his memories and experience are often shared by other Hong Kong people as well.

In addition, I Am An Airline Stewardess [5] is also a Facebook fan page but it is more job-orientated. All the comics posted in that page is about the work of airline stewardess. By reading those pictures, everyday people can know more about that specific profession.

For more examples of society-related comics books are Fell In Love With Mr. Depression written by Lucia(2008)[6] and There Is No Young Master In The Air written by Master E(2010).[7] Also, SiuTung Illustration[8] is another example for blog post with society-related comics .

Besides, society-related comics help to develop a social cohesion. Since the content of comic is about the society of Hong Kong, they are our common concern. For example, in Bi Bi Pig,[10] there is a comic called “My Childhood’s Candies” and nearly twenty two thousands of people liked it. They brings a significant connection of Hongkongese with each other.

It is believed that everyone has heard of the subject which is called Liberal Studies, it is an integral part of the New Senior Secondary curriculum. In this course, the Hong Kong Examinations Assessment Authority would use society-related comics as topics of examination. Students need to interpret the content of the comics and theme that reflects the comics. With the popularity of society-related comics, the authority prefers use comics instead of a long article for the examination. It cannot be denied that society-related comics give a good subject for the authority to choose.
