Hijacking Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear & the Selling of American Empire is a documentery narrated by Julian Bond and directed by Jeremy Earp and Sut Jhally examining the possibility neoconservatives used the tragic events of 9/11, not to implement a "war on terror", but rather to usher in a new doctrine of expanding American power through military force.

This doctrine is known as Project for the New American Century (PNAC) had been laid out prior to 9/11 by its authors, which include Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld, Jeb Bush and Dan Quayle among others.

Interviews were conducted with critics such as Noam Chomsky, Chief UN Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Jody Williams. However it delves deep into the subject with defense policy analysts, military brass, authors and insider observations from Pentagon whistleblower Lt. Colonel Karen Kwiatkowski.

Instead of decending into a partisan documentary Hijacking Catastrophe examines the historical context of the "Bush Doctrine", and how it closely resembles Wolfowtiz's PNAC philosophy. Hijacking Catastrophe goes on to look at the possible implications the PNAC will have in America, and on the world if allowed to be fully implemented during Bush's second term.
