Emre Mor (born 24 July 1997) is a Danish footballer of Turkish descent, who plays as a Midfielder for Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjælland.

Youth career

Lyngby Boldklub

At the age of 16 in December 2013, Mor was on a trial training with Saint-Étienne but didn't receive a contract.[1]

Mor played at Lyngby on U17 and U19 niveau, before he was released by the club in January 2015.[2] The message from the club was that "the conclusion is that the talent can not be redeemed in Lyngby Boldklub".[2]

FC Nordsjælland

On 31 January 2015 it was confirmed, that Mor had signed a contract with FC Nordsjælland.[3] Mor was very comoted by other Superliga-clubs and clubs from other countries, but ended up signing with Nordsjælland.

In the start it was the idea, that Mor would be a part of the U19 team of FC Nordsjælland.

Many big clubs as Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax was interested in Mor, but he wanted to stay.[4]

Senior career

FC Nordsjælland

Mor got his official debut for FCN on 28 November 2015.[5] Mor started on the bench, but replaced Guðmundur Þórarinsson in the 84nd minut in a 0–1 defeat against Randers FC in the Danish Superliga.

In the next league match after his debut, Mor was in the starting lineup against Brøndby IF.[6] Mor played a good match, and that merited him a new contract included, that he would be a fixed part of the first team squad from January 2016.[7]
