Dear James. |
|||
I agree with the reasons you gave for speedy deletion of my article up to the point that it was mostly copied from the original report or may be it was not encyclopedic in construction as it was my first attempt to write something for Wikipedia but the point that a single report from a group like that would not merit an entire page to itself is not agreed upon. This report actually gives a detail about how the ISIL is equipping itself with a variety of homemade bombs and how are they getting the raw material with such ease. The report also suggests that the intermediaries between seller and buyer is the area we must focus upon. |
|||
I asked you to help me construct that article in a better way as it was my first attempt but to my dismay you deleted it. Criticizing is easy but helping to shape something is a difficult task. And one more thing, everyone has a different mindset and perception. The things important or comprehend-able to you might not be important to me and vice versa. |

...for the heads up. I suspect that this may be a sock, as four accounts have now expressed a very specific interest in this one musician to the exclusion of nearly everything else here. TomStar81 (Talk) 07:53, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi James. I saw that you nominated the above article (under a slightly different name) for Speedy Deletion as a duplicate of another article. I may not fully understand how things work, but i checked out both and, while i'm not sure that this one is fully notable, i don't think it's sufficiently a duplicate. I removed the Speedy template for that reason, and just wanted to drop by and let you know why; cheers, LindsayHello 08:36, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
speedy deletion nomination of stella von Schoneberg
hello jamesG5, as you see i am new at wikipedia. i had not finish the page thats why it looked like as a violation of copyrights. You can check again and tell me if its ok. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Antoulasak (talk • contribs) 16:06, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletions
- As reviewing administrator, I see that I and others have declined a good number of your speedy deletions and other deletion nomination. The level of error expected for these nominations is less than 5% at the very most--we do not want to discourage new-comers. . You really ought to gain some experience writing here before you start judging whether other people's work meets the standards. When you have done that, and are ready to start, please read carefully the pages on WP:Deletion policy, WP:N, and WP:CSD. It really is necessary to know all of that in order to do it properly. DGG ( talk ) 18:35, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'm not new to contributing & editing here but am to reviewing pages. I already realized after my first batch I was hitting too many and have backed off except in blatant cases.JamesG5 (talk) 02:14, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Buccleuch Avon
Hello JamesG5. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Buccleuch Avon, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A redirect seems a better solution. Thank you. GedUK 13:31, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
- That's cool, it's a good alternative, thanks. That's why I left the note about the other page. :) JamesG5 (talk) 15:28, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion of promotional page
Please explain which parts of the page are promotional — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timgcaldwell (talk • contribs) 18:59, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Timgcaldwell: Hi Tim. Please see, first, WP:COI. You're a sales agent for this company. Second, see WP:Notability. There's no indication of why the company rates a Wikipedia page. Given this, it appears to have been places solely as an advertisement. JamesG5 (talk) 19:02, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

SlideProof re-written
Hello JamesG5,
I have re-written the article about SlideProof now to make it less of an ad. What do you think about it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adamkrapf (talk • contribs) 11:56, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Adamkrapf, looks like a senior editor reviewed it & either because of the nature of it or because of the copyright issues they removed it. A big part of the issue was that the page was copied almost directly from sections of their website. A Wikipedia article needs to be in your own words, and it must have plenty of reliable 3rd party sources (see WP:RS) to support significance (see WP:Notability). What you might want to do is visit Wikipedia: Articles for creation which allows you to create an article & have people review it before it goes live, so you can address any issues in advance. Hope this helps! JamesG5 (talk) 15:03, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

Just letting you know that I placed a CSD A7 tag on Huion, because I think it is clearly not notable enough. If you think I am wrong, please let me know on my talk page. WannaBeEditor (talk) 08:03, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
- I thought about that but with so little info I wasn't sure so I thought I'd give it a chance. JamesG5 (talk) 17:56, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for patrolling new pages. However you missed a serious case of WP:COPYVIO at Assassins creed cronicles of india so I must ask you, in view of your high inaccuracy rate of patrolling, to stop patrolling new pages for a while until you have read and fully understood the instructions at WP:NPP and the policies at WP:DELETION. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 04:20, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- Seriously? I missed something on a page I gave a cursory glance at and left no tags on because it's not a topic I know well & missed a copyvio that I couldn't be expected to know so you want me to stop patrolling? In point of fact my accuracy rate is quite high. JamesG5 (talk) 08:01, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
Revision complete
Hi James, I rewrote the article that you tagged and did my best to conform to the guidelines. Would you please remove the request for deletions and the other tags you placed on it?
