The term "haram dingo" is a term used to refer to uneducated, barbaric and blasphemous individuals who do not follow the Halal food laws and enjoy tomato sauce and/or salad with a Halal snack pack which is 'haram' (against the sharia law). They are called a dingo because most of the members of the Halal Snack Pack Appreciation Society live in Australia and dingoes are vile creatures so it is quite fitting. Haram dingoes must be banished from eating Halal snack packs because they are not true HSP enthusiasts.

Alternative namesHSP, Meat in a Box, Snack Pack
Place of originAustralia
Main ingredientsDoner kebab, chips, Sauce

A Halal snack pack (commonly referred to as a "HSP") is a dish consisting of doner kebab meat (typically beef but also chicken and to a lesser extent, lamb)[1], chips, and one or more sauces such as chilli, garlic, tomato and barbecue or hummus. Although Tomato sauce is some times referred to as dingo sauce by many. Cheese (optional) is a common addition. The dish originated in Australia [2] as a culinary fusion of Middle-Eastern and European cuisine.

The dish gained a mass following in early 2016 after a Facebook group known as the 'Halal Snack Pack Appreciation Society' went viral. The group has been praised for promoting multiculturalism and reducing Islamophobia in Australia.

Origin of the 'Haram dingo'

The term "haram dingo" is a term used to refer to uneducated, barbaric and blasphemous individuals who do not follow the Halal food laws and enjoy tomato sauce and/or salad with a Halal snack pack which is 'haram' (against the sharia law). They are called a dingo because most of the members of the Halal Snack Pack Appreciation Society live in Australia and dingoes are vile creatures so it is quite fitting. Haram dingoes must be banished from eating Halal snack packs because they are not true HSP enthusiasts.
