Just a heads up

"Facebook posts and/or YouTube videos aren't reliable sources on Wikipedia". Actually per WP:EL/P sometimes the source can be reliable if the venue is notable/official. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 13:08, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

I've seen Wikipedia articles try & use YouTube videos as citations before, but never Facebook postings (from "official" pages or not). Guy1890 (talk) 05:15, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

Question/advice request

Hi .. I'm hoping you know the answer to this since you're a member of WikiProject Pornography. I've always uploaded a scan of DVD covers to go with the AVN Awards articles I've written, on the belief they're fair use (and I'm about to do so again with the 15th (1998) AVN Awards which I hope to finish this weekend). The DVD covers I upload are one of the awards show itself and one of the best film winner. However, suddenly Hullaballoo Wolfowitz has deleted them all citing only "obvious NFCC violation" (one example is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=16th_AVN_Awards&diff=next&oldid=693276666). i'm tempted to revert them all, but not if he's actually correct in this and I don't want to start an edit war (because he likes those!). Do you see any NFCC violation in this at all? I'm really at a loss as to what it could be, but if I'm in the wrong, I'd like to correct whatever I've been doing wrong. That's an area that Mr. Wolfowitz enjoys editing in because there are apparently "rules" there that he can "enforce" pretty much at will. It's not an area that I've concerned myself with on Wikipedia, and I'm not familiar with the various guidelines that are likely in play there. You really can't "win" with Mr. Wolfowitz...even when you do...he just "retaliates in another forum eventually. Your best bet would be to ask an administrator that you trust to help you out, if they can. Guy1890 (talk) 03:47, 15 May 2016 (UTC)

Thanks.. I don't know any administrators; is there one you might suggest? I've read the non-free gontent guidelines and certainly don't see where (or if) i've gone wrong and I know Wolfy certainly won't be interested in explaining... thanks again. - Pumik9 (talk) 16:58, 15 May 2016 (UTC)

I don't know any administrators that work in this area either, and I saw that an administrator that recently posted to your own talk page wasn't very helpful.
