Welcome to Files for Upload, part of WikiProject Articles for creation. This process was created to allow unregistered users to add new files to Wikipedia with the assistance of experienced Wikipedians. If you would like to upload an image yourself, you can create an account and after four days and 10 edits you will be autoconfirmed and able to upload files. However, please consider uploading free files over at the Wikimedia Commons (instructions for creating an account there can be found here).

If you are an experienced editor, then you can help out by reviewing requests. Make sure you're familiar with Wikipedia's policies on non-free content (or simplified version). Learn about Wikipedia's various copyright tags. Read the guide on how to review file upload requests. Note that this page's editnotice contains an expandable cheat sheet with all the templates used in reviewing requests. After uploading the file tag its talk page with {{subst:WPAFCF}}. Remember to subst all templates. Notify the requester at their talk page using {{subst:ffu talk}} ~~~~ whenever you act on their request. You are responsible for anything you upload, so make sure you are comfortable that the file satisfies Wikipedia's policies first. If the file is non-free, then you must insert the file in the appropriate article right away in order to comply with the non-free content criteria.

@Sphilbrick: Hi, I've uploaded a comparison here. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwXpYfUVP7wBZTVXWmJvajRYZE0/view?usp=sharing The 'ghosted image' is the one currently on Wikipedia. You will notice the correct logo has slight curves at the edges of 'T' 'N' and 'J' while the wrong logo has straight lines and the proportions are out. Tthunderr (talk) 14:28, 29 July 2016 (UTC)

He was famous in the United States at a time when copyright formalities were required, and there are typically lots of public domain pictures of people who were famous in the United States at this time. By claiming that there are no free images available, I was referring to images on the Commons. I'm certain that there are countless free images available, but trying to get them accepted on Commons is close to impossible without absolute proof that someone, somewhere, at some time, had not possibly copyrighted it. @Revent: I don't think that I did upload files, which was nominated for deletion by Nick on January 17th and deleted by him at this deletion request on January 18th. Yann is the one who said that I am "blocked for uploading copyvios after warnings" after he deleted these seven files (which was nominated for deletion by Nick on January 17th), but it seems very highly unlikely to me that I certainly did upload these images, which was nominated for deletion by Nick on January 17th and deleted by him on January 18th. These Fox Sports logos, which was nominated for deletion by NickW557 on January 17th and deleted by Yann at the above-mentioned deletion request on January 18th are not uploaded by me. I've checked if these Fox Sports logos (which is not uploaded by me) are included in the list of files I've uploaded, but unfortunately it isn't shown here. I only want to license under a Commons-compatible free license when uploading an image, categorize images, and/or transfer free images to Wikimedia Commons, etc., not upload these files (such as attack files, stupid, offensive, blatant and/or rough things, file with a name that would be a violation of Commons' policies and guidelines, or reproductions of other inappropriate works, etc.).
