The name Imaduddin refers to a sultan who ruled the Maldives during late 1800. Sultan Mohammed Imaduddin I (1580–1648) was the Sultan of Maldives from 11 December 1628 to 1648. He was the son of Umar Maafai Kilage and Mariyam Kabaidhi Kilage. After ruling for 20 years the sultan died at the age of 68, and was buried in the Koilu Mosque.

Imaduddin School is one of the youngest schools of the Republic of Maldives.

The name Imaduddin refers to a sultan who ruled the Maldives during late 1800. There are almost 2000 students studying in Imaduddin School. Until 2009 the school taught students up to grade 7. After 2010 Imaduddin School will have the 8th grade and grades 9 and 10. Imaduddin School is the Maldives' first primary school which also has secondary classes. The school also provides education for students with special needs.

School Fomation

There are almost 2000 students studying in Imaduddin School. Until 2009 the school taught students up to grade 7. After 2010 Imaduddin School will have the 8th grade and grades 9 and 10. Imaduddin School is the Maldives' first primary school which also has secondary classes. The school also provides education for students with special needs.

Founded

Imaduddin School, the fifth primary school in Male’ was put up with the assistance of the Islamic development Bank. The first step towards this great feat, the laying of the foundation stone, by the honourable minister of education Dr Mohamed Latheef was held on 26th October 1998. This great school opened its portals on 22nd February 2000

Inaugurate

Imaduddin school was officially inaugurated by his Excellency President Maumoon Abdul Gaymoon. on 5th September 2001/ 17th Jumadul Akhir 1422 H. This English medium school is unique because it started with only three grades, grade six and seven in the morning and grade one and six in the afternoon.

Special Education Needs children.

Imaduddin still upholds the uniqueness, being the first primary school to step in to the secondary level (grade one – nine) and we have a special section, the SEN classes for the special Education Needs children.

Cadet and Band

Inauguration of Maldives National Cadet Corps Maldives National Cadet Corps (MNCC) was inaugurated on the 25th July 1995 by H.E former president Maumoon Abdull Gayyoom to mark the 50th anniversary, golden jubilee of cadetting in Maldives. This is largest youth organization nation wide.MNCC is an organization which comprises of cadets from schools nation wide. This is an organization which functions under the Ministry of Education and is contributed by cadets and bandsmen of schools Nation wide who are above the age of eleven years.

Scout And Giude

Maldives has more than 5,538 Scouts served by the Scout Association of Maldives which was founded in 1963 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1990. Divehi Scouting is coeducational, serving both boys and girls.
