Charlotte Tilbury is a British make-up artist.

Early life

Charlotte Tilbury was born in France to artist Lance Tilbury and location expert Patsy Dodd. She and her parents moved to Ibiza when she was just 9 months old. Aged 13, Charlotte moved to England to attend boarding school, where she first experimented with make-up.[1]

Career

Tilbury attended Glauca Rossi School of Makeup in London.[2] She began her career assisting make-up artist and mentor Mary Greenwell, whom she first met when she was 11.[3]

Tilbury works with photographers including Mario Testino and Mert and Marcus; models such as Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen; and magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, LOVE and V Magazine.[4] Her portfolio includes fashion shows and campaigns such as Tom Ford, Michael Kors, Donna Karan, Rachel Zoe and Missoni. Personal life

Tilbury married writer and actor Charles Forbes in Ibiza in 2006. They have one son together named Flynn. Tilbury and Forbes divorced in 2014. Tilbury married film producer George Waud in June 2014, and they have a son named Valentine.
