I am a bit surprised by the sophisticated interpretation given to that painting.
Mine is much simpler. For me it is describing pretty accurately (although somewhat exaggerated) what my very eyes see when starring into a very bright light source.
Am I one of very few to see bright lights that way?

That is what makes this painting so unique and interesting. This feeling will never be rendered by a photograph.
