The 2006 World Baseball Classic Final[1] was an international competitive baseball game between the national teams that represent Cuba and Japan. In the conclusion of this tournament, Japan led by manager Sadaharu Oh defeated the Cuban team after a long, strenuous effort to earn their Victory, the Japanese managed to do so, earning a 10-6 victory late in the game. Following the game, Japanese pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka was declared tournament Most Valuable Player.
