I believe I found evidence, the owners manual on page 326 states the engine is a 2ZR-FAE (https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInfoPortal/resources/jsp/siviewer/index.jsp?href=om-s/OM12M01U/xhtml/OM12M01U.html&locale=en&openSource=TechinfoPrelogin) <!-- Template:Unsigned --><small class="autosigned">—&nbsp;Preceding unsigned comment added by Blueck (talk • contribs) 22:22, 19 March 2017 (UTC)</small> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

In addition, the US emissions sticker under the hood shows the same (http://i.imgur.com/JJTu5OW.jpg)

2ZR-FAE vs 2ZR-FE in Scion/Toyota iM

The Scion (now Toyota) iM doesn't appear to be using the 2ZR-FAE engine according to the brochure, but rather the 2ZR-FE. http://www.toyota.com/corollaim/ebrochure 47.139.76.2 (talk) 05:52, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

After doing some research, it appears that the iM uses both engines: the 2ZR-FE for the American market and the 2ZR-FAE for the Canadian market. 47.139.76.2 (talk) 06:09, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Added "(Canada only)" back to 2ZR-FAE because this engine (also available on the Corolla LE Eco) is only on the Canadian version of the Corolla iM, NOT on the American version of the Corolla iM. http://s3.amazonaws.com/scion.site.p01/scion/media/content/vehicles/im/2016/2016_Scion_Brochure_iM_en.pdf https://s3.amazonaws.com/toyota.site.p01/toyota/media/content/vehicles/corolla_im/2017/brochures/17corolla_im_e.pdf 47.139.76.2 (talk) 01:52, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

From the link you gave (http://www.toyota.com/corollaim/ebrochure), how did you figure out it is a 2ZR-FE and not a 2ZR-FAE? It is not explicitly stated either way in the brochure.  Stepho  talk  08:07, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is interesting... no where on Toyota's site do they specifically say it has the Vavlematic engine, but at least one Corolla iM in the US has a 2ZR-FAE engine, as I just purchased one of these vehicles brand new from a Toyota dealer in the states and this was under the hood (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Toyota_2ZR-FAE_Engine.jpg). Will have to dig deeper to find out what is going on over at Toyota.com. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blueck (talkcontribs) 21:38, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
