Just a friendly heads up on Lineisy Montero. I declined the speedy because there's a good faith claim of notability (top 50 model). My edit summary said PROD or AfD would be the way to go, but after checking the sources, I'd say the Guardian and Harpers Bazaar articles would make me contest a prod. New Page Review - newsletter No.2

Hello Reddogsix,

A HUGE backlog

We now have 807 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.

Hitting 17,000 soon

The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.

Second set of eyes

Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.

Abuse

This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and

1. this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
2. this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
3. This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.

Coordinator election

Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

Hello - Not sure why you had the Johnny Aloha page deleted. Can you please send me the deleted code from the page? The Johnny Aloha CD was released in 2010, it is distributed by an established record label, it is available on iTunes and other online music stores, and includes a duet with famous singer Corey Taylor of the band Slipknot. But the subject is someone I caught in a Ted talk he did (that's over a million views) and he's done some amazing stuff and I'd love to write the article about him - he's an author, a host of Air America radio, was an expert on a TLC show. Scientific fraud case

Hey reddogsix, I am confused! Can I go on developing the Stapel scientific fraud article or not? I would want to remove the long explanations from the biography article and to add more details to the fraud article. Of course, I just didnt think of that possibility. I thought would be better to keep the traceability back to the original text by copying the text and making the changes incrementally to the new article. Proposed deletion of Bello Shagari

Hello Reddogsix, i'm requesting for the removal of deletion request or proposal on Bello Shagari, He his notable documentary filmmaker and entrepreneur in Nigeria. He came from a household family of Nigeria's former president Shehu Shagari. Right now many people are enquiring about him. The reason why the article is important, is because of his controversial statements on a recently released movie in Nigeria called the wedding party. His criticisms against the movie had caused a National debate on movie making in Nigeria. I believe the article is important for education purposes, as filmmaking student could use his arguments as a reference point. I did a lot research before writing the article and have linked it to his parents and other places where necessary. I hope you will consider my sincere explanation. Thank you .

According to WP:1Event which says : However, if media coverage of both the event and the individual's role grow larger, separate articles may become justified. There have been more than 250-300+ references which showcase the importance and notability of the person, hence the individual role becomes important as well.

Also, this doesn't fall under single event as the article has been slighly edited to add more of the events of the person.
