Either the map or the table data is false. I guess it's the map (picture). In the table USA is higher in rank than Iran, on the map it's the other way around (Iran is red and USA is orange). According to the table both should be red. I have not checked all other countries.

Either the map or the table data is false. I guess it's the map (picture). In the table USA is higher in rank than Iran, on the map it's the other way around (Iran is red and USA is orange). According to the table both should be red. I have not checked all other countries.

- This is because the real index has the USA at 4.71, not at 5.28. I fixed this on 6/26/2015. The USA is the only country that was wrong on the list, which makes me suspect vandalism by an editor.

––I don't think color of USA is the only problem, apparently Libya is much lighter than China on the map while the figure are much higher in the chart. Either this map is out-dated or figures are incorrect. Derekjoe (talk) 09:22, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Derekjoe, 11/2/2015[reply]

2015

The 2015 report is out.[1] Anyone planning on updating it?Makeandtoss (talk) 13:01, 19 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why so many vandalism on this page?

I've added an updated map to this article, and IPs and users edited it and removed it from the page without any reason. My map is a copy from the Table 7 of page 90 from the official report available as PDF at Global Terrorism Index Report 2015. If there is a problem with the map, just tell me and I can fix it.Faltur (talk) 23:51, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Listed Countries

Where is Palestine ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.26.4.133 (talk) 18:05, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

According to the report, "occupied Palestinian territories is the only region that records notable amounts of terrorism that is not included in the index." (pg. 95, para. 1) "The Global Terrorism Index includes the 162 countries which are covered by the Global Peace Index. The only country not included which experienced terrorism in 2014 is Palestine. For 2014 Palestine would have received a GTI score of 4.960 and would have ranked as the 30th country most impacted by terrorism, between Greece and Uganda." (pg. 106, ref. 48) [1] Faltur (talk) 23:10, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Protect the page

Can the page be protected to avoid vandalism? There have been too many edits, in particular for the countries India and Pakistan, with attempts to post incorrect data. Also, the figures of the Index are from the Global Terrorism Index 2015, not 2016; even the links on the page are for that. The 2016 Index figures aren't published as yet. And the 2015 Index figures are published in 2015, but for the year 2014, so the change column would show change from the calendar year 2014 over 2013. Ronakshah1990 06:11, 22 September 2016 (UTC)

Rewriting for 2016

The 2015 list has some inaccuracies, and it's being constantly edited by anonymous editors which have brought up even more inaccuracies. I'll be doing what I can today to get the list updated to 2016 index, and the rest tomorrow morning. 80.221.152.17 (talk) 00:20, 11 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It looked difficult to salvage the 2015 list and to check it for errors, so I've removed it with Special:Diff/774846394 for now. I'll be looking more closely at this tomorrow. 80.221.152.17 (talk) 00:58, 11 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
