::::By the way, I saw that you had a lot more content in an earlier draft of your sandbox. Much of that is not encyclopedic content or tone. Again, happy to help if I can.–CaroleHenson (talk) 09:05, 16 June 2017 (UTC)

I am so dispirited by your constant revisions that I shall give up on this one. I have plenty more to say about Margaret Rowbotham – Dorothy as you mistakenly want to call her – but I need the freedom to write without interference. If I have got something wrong, you can correct it later. I thought that the spirit of Wikipedia was to be polite and respectful, but I am now discovering the reality. I can't believe that we are expected to repeat things that we know to be wrong, but I have much better things to do than argue with you about this. If you want more women to contribute to Wikipedia, it is time to be more sympathetic. Goodbye. Henrietta999 (talk) 13:44, 16 June 2017 (UTC)

Hi Henrietta good to see you here Ietlibarch (talk) 10:20, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, no problem to use the link from my user page Ietlibarch (talk) 10:21, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello!

I have no idea if this is working. Jess — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jesswade88 (talkcontribs) 10:22, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Henrietta999! Thank you for your contributions. I am Zeromonk and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type help me at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Zeromonk (talk) 18:13, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How to Create an Extra Practice Space

Hi Henrietta! Here's my reply to your question on my Talk page... You can create another Sandbox by going to your Sandbox, clicking Edit Source and pasting this (make sure you put it below the top two lines that we have to carefully leave alone!):

User:Henrietta999/Sandbox1

Then press Save. That'll create a redlink on your Sandbox page - if you click on that red text, you'll get a new Wikipedia page. Paste this text at the top:

User sandbox
<!-- EDIT BELOW THIS LINE -->

Then it'll be a Sandbox page where you can experiment and take your time. If you need to create others in the future, you can do the same thing, and just change the number of the Sandbox. Hope that helps! Let me know if you need anything else at all! (and don't forget the four tildes to sign your name on talk!) Zeromonk (talk) 18:50, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zeromonk

Many thanks for your message, which is very helpful. I received three copies of it, which seems a little excessive.

Also, since our session yesterday, I have been deluged with spam – not a problem I have had to grapple with in recent times. Clearly Wikipedia attracts this sort of thing. I know that there's not much you can do about this, but I thought you'd like to know.

Incidentally, I have replaced the picture on the Hertha Ayrton Wikipage with a better one.

best wishes Henrietta999 (talk) 13:08, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rachel Parsons picture

Excellent to find a picture of her suitable for Wikipedia. MerielGJones (talk) 22:54, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fending off despair

I have worked really hard to write a completely new entry on Margaret, Lady Moir. I think I have submitted it for approval, but how to do you know? And when will someone let me know? It's like sending something into the ether and never knowing whether you will see it again. Henrietta999 (talk) 17:00, 17 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It is a great article - better than the one I wrote on her husband. Jack1956 (talk) 09:53, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Jack. Great to hear from you. The Moir family have given me information on Ernest and Margaret, and I hope some day to add to the Ernest entry. If you want more from where the Lady Moir entry came from, please help to crowdfund Magnificent Women: https://unbound.com/books/magnificent-women Thank you. Wellcome

Thanks for the talk about Magnificent Women at Wellcome today. Please feel free to get in touch if you should need advice or assistance with future work on Wikipedia. Andrew D. (talk) 14:06, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I have been trying to back into the sources for the article and could use your help. What sources did you use to create the article?

There were no references and I couldn't find anything on the two external links for her name. You can answer here, I will watch the page.

Thanks!–CaroleHenson (talk) 08:11, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As explained to Carole Henson, I am in the midst of creating a page on Margaret Rowbothan, and I would appreciate it if other editors withheld comments until I have finished it. As a new editor, I realise that I should not have made this page go live until it was complete. Thank you. Henrietta999 (talk) 08:34, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I am really confused. I had no idea that I was holding anyone up. I review pages from the Special:NewPagesFeed and haven't seen any edits while I've been working.
I'll tag the article instead of working on it... and come back later. Please feel to let me know of any comments or questions.–CaroleHenson (talk) 08:43, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You are not holding me up. I would just appreciate it if you would understand that a new editor needs to get to grips with the Wiki system, and that can be quite challenging. The reason you have not seen any edits is that I am in London and I have only just started work for the day! In any case, I will not make this mistake again. Henrietta999 (talk) 08:56, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome, Henrietta!
There's no mistake. I just didn't know what was going on. It's pretty rare that I'm told to get out of an article, is all. I put an "under construction" tag on the article so that others are aware that there is a "work in progress" effort. I also marked the article as "patrolled" so that no other reviewers should be coming along.
By the way, I saw that you had a lot more content in an earlier draft of your sandbox. Much of that is not encyclopedic content or tone. Again, happy to help if I can.–CaroleHenson (talk) 09:05, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
