I wouldn't consider "about seven months" to be "so long". I'm glad you are trying hard to be nice to other people, but to me it's more important to try hard to be nice to people you 'haven't made friends with yet than to try to be nice to the ones you have made friends with. It's good that you want to assume good faith and be nice, and those are important aspects of being a "good wikipedian", but looking at your contributions I think you have lost sight of the purpose of Wikipedia; which is to create an informative encyclopedia. You have very few article edits (33, to be precise), and many of those don't seem to be of a very high quality. Your article on cattle drives fills what was an important gap in wikipedia's coverage; but if you want me to be honest here, it's not a very good article. My suggestions: 1. Put a lot of hard work and effort into improving your cattle drive article. This should involve going to a library and checking out books on the topic, reading them, and incorporating the information into the article. Maybe when you've gotten what you think is an improved version together you could ask a teacher to look at it and make suggestions. A teacher could also help you cite your sources appropriately. 2. Take a look at some of Wikipedia's featured articles, maybe read the FA of the day every day (I do). That will help you get a good idea of what Wikipedia is trying to accomplish. 3. Once you've got a handle on the purpose of Wikipedia, start making more edits to articles. Maybe once you've got an idea of what you're doing you could join the clean-up task force and help out there. I am glad that you feel you've found a welcoming community here at Wikipedia. However, I have to agree with ONUnicorn and say that you would benefit from focusing your attention on editing and improving existing articles. Wikipedia is not a social networking site. While it is okay to make friends with other Wikipedians, it shouldn't be your primary goal. Spend time reading articles on subjects that interest you, and spend time researching subjects that you are interested in but are not yet covered in the encyclopedia. And, as a postscript, I will mention that your userpage does not display properly in Firefox--that might be something you want to check out. Congratulations for not letting your RfA scare you away from Wikipedia: you appear to be doing pretty well these days, especially given your rocky start here. All I can suggest is that you pay attention to the good advice above, and use edit summaries as often as you can remember to: they may life so much easier for everyone. Perhaps you might also like to involve yourself in ongoing activities like recent change patrol or a WikiProject to boost your time spent improving and maintaining articles. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I would like to say thank you to other Wikipedians for being so nice to me. From the day I started on Wikipedia, I was very strict and very angry when people said bad things about me.
