Acting career

Pernia incorporates her talent into the courtesan she plays in Muzaffar Ali's periodical drama film Jaanisaar opposite Imran Abbas Naqvi, [9] a period drama set in pre-Independence India,[10] as a courtesan.[11] The movie was released in August 7, 2015.[10]

Filmography

Personal life

Qureshi was born in Swat, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan[1] to an Indian father hailing from Rampur, Moin Qureshi, and Pakistani mother, Nasreen Qureshi.[2][12][13] Moin Qureshi is a leading meat exporter based in India, and has recently been on the run from the Indian Department of Income Tax for allegedly indulging in Hawala transactions and amassing black money.[14][15]

She tied the knot with UK-based banker, Arjun Prasad, a close relative of junior Cabinet Minister Jitin Prasada in 2011, and they moved into an apartment in Lodhi Gardens.[15] In less than a year, the couple split.[16] She is currently single.
