Indira Canteens are a chain of fast-food joints in Bengaluru, India, started, subsidized and run by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). The first Indira Canteen at Jayanagar is launched by Rahul Gandhi on 15 August 2017, on the independence day of the nation.[1] Each such canteen are planned to serve 500 people per meal per day.

The canteens will be constructed in all 197 civic wards in Bengaluru. The fast-food joints will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinners to the local people at a highly subsidized price.[2][3] Idlis and coconut chutney will be served in breakfast, in lunch and dinner rice, sambar, curd rice, tomato bath and a few other items will be served.[1] Food will be served only within fixed timings, Breakfast will be served only from 07:30 AM to 09:30AM, Lunch will be served only from 12:30PM to 03:00 PM and Dinner from 07:30PM to 09:00PM.
