Michael "Khel" Pangilinan was born in [[Malabon City]], [[Philippines]], and is one of three siblings. His family was very poor, and his father, Rodolfo Pangilinan, was an alcoholic wife-beater. His parents separated but reunited in 2000 after his father stopped drinking, but he died on November 11, 2007, of [[emphysema]]. He then has numerous appearance on the late night show of GMA 7, ''"Walang Tulugan".''

He then has numerous appearance on the late night show of GMA 7, "Walang Tulugan". Got his first break-through in showbiz, year 2016 when he interpreted a Himig Handog PPop Love Songs finalist "Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako" that immediately trended because it somewhat tackles the LGBT community with it's theme. In 2015, it was announced that an ex-girlfriend Erin Ocampo was pregnant with his child and he pledged his support, saying that the two of them were still friends.
