Michael Semanchik images
User:Train2104 wrote the following message to me on his talk page: "If you choose to reupload the images, you must indicate that you have sent permission by placing the tag ["subst:OP"] on the page. Fastily feel free to restore these on that condition." Please undo the deletion of the image Michael Semanchik.jpeg, if possible (I'm not interested in the other deleted one) and I will place the tag on the page, as Train2104 instructed. Thanks. - Hi Dylanexpert. Could you please first provide the ticket number(s) you received in response from OTRS after emailing
permissions-en@wikimedia.org
? Thanks, FASTILY 18:05, 24 October 2017 (UTC)- Thank you. The ticket number is Ticket#: 2017102410000074. Dylanexpert (talk) 14:48, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Dylanexpert. There is a problem with the copyrights. The photographer(s), not the person who owns the camera, are legal owners of the copyright of each of the photos. Meaning: each of the photographers must individually release the copyright of the image(s) in order for them to be acceptable for Wikipedia. Regards, FASTILY 23:42, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- I know it's not your fault, you didn't make Wikipedia's rules, but I think that this is a ridiculous rule. What you're saying is that Wikipedia wouldn't accept an image he took with his own camera, unless it was literally a selfie. Once, for a scholarly article I was editing, I obtained an image of a famous filmmaker and, with considerable effort, got special written permission from the relevant film studio to use the image in the article, permission which just about any scholarly publisher would have accepted as sufficient... and Wikipedia rejected the image! I'll try to see if I can get Mr. Semanchik to find out if the completely amateur "photographers" will give us permission to use the photos, but it seems like such a waste of time to me. Hello, Fastily.
I don't understand why my book was removed. I created this book to organize the information on Wikipedia about music theory and composition in a way that would make it easier to access and connect. Apparently, it was taken down for WP:MEMORIAL, but after reading about it, I still don't understand what was wrong with the book. Thank you in advance.
- Hi Mrderpzter. Wikipedia is not a webhost for miscellaneous notes and personal writings. See also: WP:CSD#U5. Regards, FASTILY 18:01, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
Apparently, in August you got rid of Itchycoo Park page from MPeople. Is there any reason for this? I created the content so I'm surprised it has gone.
Thanks.
- Hi, please provide a link to the page in question. -FASTILY 18:01, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
ip-range-calc
Hi Fastily, Could you format the output on this to include a list of supported blocks for WMF? (e.g. instead of outputing 10.1.0.0/15, output 10.1.0.0/16, 10.2.0.0/16) (perhaps in addition to the pure CIDR output?) — xaosflux Talk 18:56, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- Maybe a pull down control (Maximum range size)? — xaosflux Talk 19:05, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Xaosflux. Sure, I'll see what I can do. Regards, FASTILY 23:42, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
As noted: 00:24, 13 October 2017 Fastily (talk | contribs) deleted page The Crossing (TV series) (Expired PROD, concern was: Fails WP:TVSERIES. Not yet released.)
Per WP:TVSERIES "...in most cases, a television series is not eligible for an article until its scheduling as an ongoing series has been formally confirmed by a television network (for instance, it has been announced at a television network's upfront presentation as being scheduled and advanced to series)."
The Crossing was announced at the Upfronts in the spring as a confirmed, ordered series scheduled for spring 2018, thus ineligible for page deletion.
Please restore the page.

Hi Fastily - Not sure why BeeBoard page was deleted. The product was recently awarded a US Patent and is currently being marketed and sold in the US. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.217.185.138 (talk) 17:49, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
